When the V-Roys of Knoxville, Tenn., disbanded on the first day of this millennium, its members chose to continue making music-just on individual terms. The results are finally being tallied, and simultaneously at that: Singer Scott Miller's solo record traverses a familiar Appalachia-cum-Americana landscape; and the Faults, the foursome led by bassist Paxton Sellers and guitarist Mic Harrison, offer a tight, discordant, hell's bells of a rock-'n'-roll ride.
